These Official Rules govern participation in the My Island Cookout & Bluewater Event Drawing, benefiting I Love My Island, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the Merritt Island community through programs for seniors, youth academics and sports, disaster relief, and quality employment initiatives.

By entering the drawing, all participants and winner(s) consent to the use of their name and likeness in publicity related to the drawing and its outcome, without compensation, and waive any claims against I Love My Island, Inc.

The drawing will be held at 2:30 p.m. on June 6, 2026, at the My Island Cookout event located at: My Island Thrift Store, 234 E Merritt Island Cswy, Merritt Island, FL 32952

Eligibility

• Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Employees and Board Members of I Love My Island, Inc. and My Island Thrift Store, including all individuals living in the same household, are not eligible to enter.
• Donations for tickets begin December 1, 2025, and end 30 minutes prior to the 2:30 p.m. drawing on June 6, 2026.

General Conditions

By entering, participants accept and agree to these Official Rules and to all decisions made by I Love My Island, Inc., which are final.

• A suggested minimum donation of $25 is requested per entry.
• There is no minimum or maximum number of total tickets to be sold.
• Donations may be tax-deductible, though tax benefits vary by donor—please consult your tax advisor.
• Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Payments by check or money order must be made payable and sent to:

Ticketing & Drawing Process

• Tickets will be issued in the name provided at the time of purchase.
• The winning ticket will be selected by a hand-drawn paper ticket pulled from a bin.
• The winner will be notified using the contact information provided by the donor.
• The drawing is open to all ticket holders.
• A free entry may be requested by mail only. Requirements:
  • Must include full name, address, valid email address, and phone number
  • Must be submitted in writing only (no phone or online requests accepted)
  • Must be received no later than Friday, May 29, 2026
  • One free ticket per household

I Love My Island, Inc. reserves the right to award the prize to the individual it determines to be the valid winner. All decisions are final.

Taxes, Prize Claim, & Responsibilities

• ILMI will pay up to $7,000 toward the winner’s federal income taxes.
• Winner(s) are responsible for any additional taxes (Federal, State, or Local), as well as licensing, registration, and delivery of the prize. All remaining federal taxes must be paid before taking possession of the boat. Winner will receive a W-9 form for prize reporting.
• Winner(s) will be notified by telephone, email, and/or U.S. Mail using the information provided at purchase.
• Winner must present their ticket purchase receipt and valid identification to claim the prize.
• The prize must be claimed and titled in the winner’s name within 30 days of the drawing. ILMI must receive copies of all completed title documentation.
• If the winner cannot or chooses not to claim the prize, the transaction containing the winning ticket will be refunded as an alternate “prize,” and a new winning ticket will be drawn.

I Love My Island, Inc. makes no warranties of any kind regarding the drawing or the prize, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or quality. Except where explicitly stated, ILMI disclaims all warranties, representations, and guarantees, whether expressed or implied.

All donations to I Love My Island, Inc. and this event are non-refundable. 100 percent of all contributions received go to the organization.
