Sorry for the lack of messages. I had surgery in September and have been dealing with some complications. I’m fine now but this has definitely slowed me down!
We have several EXCITING programs for the holidays.
TOY DRIVE FOR ISLAND CHILDREN
This is our annual drive for children on the Island. In collaboration with the Parks and Rec department, we are holding a toy drive for children up to age 12. Last year 180+ children were able to receive a gift for Christmas. This year will be different with a new socially-distant format, however, the needs are the same. If you wish to donate an unwrapped gift, we have 5 drop-off locations.

SENIORS CHRISTMAS GIFT PROGRAM
In collaboration with AGING MATTERS, we have identified 100 seniors living in Merritt Island who are home-bound and have little or no family support. With your help, these valuable members of our community will receive gifts on Christmas.
In order to provide gifts for these seniors we are asking for your help in either of two ways.
First, you can make a donation at Our GIVING TREE located at the My Island Boutique Thrift Store at 245 Crockett Blvd. 100% of the donations collected go directly to gifts for this program.
The second way to help is to donate new, unwrapped items such as small lap blankets, large number clocks, warm non-slip socks, small bathroom rugs, large print puzzle books, night lights or any small gift that you think a senior would like. Our drop-off locations in include:

THINKING OF YOU GREETING CARD PROGRAM
Loneliness is the #1 problem identified by seniors. The pandemic has only increased the isolation for our seniors. You can stop by The MY ISLAND BOUTIQUE THRIFT STORE and sign a card that will be delivered to a senior who lives in a nursing home. There is no charge – cards are provided.
